To Texas!!!

After spending time in Arizona, we moved on to Texas, where we spent 4 days. On our way to Texas, we stopped at a place called the Cadillac Ranch, where Austin had fun with spray paint. This is a place where someone has buried about 12 Cadillacs trunk down and people stop on the side of the road and walk into the field and leave some type of note or mark or design on the cars. As you can tell there are alot of artistic people that drive by this place!!

You would also be amazed at the rest stops in Texas. We had been in the car for about 12 hours when we stopped to let everybody go and stretch their legs. It just so happened that this rest stop had the play land of all play lands to let the kids have fun on. Needless to say, our quick pitstop turned into a 20 min. playtime. The funny part is that as soon as we hit the road again all the kids fell asleep. I guess they needed a rest from stopping at the rest stop :)

On our way out of Texas we passed a windmill plant where they make the arms for the windmills, like you see in California and Idaho. On the side of the road was a semi trailer loaded with three of these wings. We parked the van next to it just to give you an idea how big they truly are. We all thought those wings where 50 to 100 feet long but looking at them next to our 21 foot long van, we decided they where just a bit longer!

Although we had fun, in both Arizona and Texas, I can truly say we are glad to be home, and now its time to do some more laundry!!!! lol!!!
